MOT fail?

MOT fail?
There is also another rust hole in the same wheel arch (NSR) up inside the outer arch, both will need to be fixed asap. But I'm curious whether I will need this done for it's MOT (it's off the road atm on a SORN ticket and no MOT), but obviously being able to drive the car makes it easier to fix the few things it needs doing/I want doing.

Short term bodge.
Long term it's not cheap or easy. This is just the stuff you can see, it's a well documented and not checked by many new owners when buying a Classic.
Here's a good (bad) example of what you may find.

How effective is rust treatment? For the minor surface rust areas.
Curiously, this arch only has slight bubbling on the outside lip, whereas the opposite side arch has a few bubbles but only very slight surface rust on the inside.

A proper job will cost £1000 +. You can get a shoddy job by Back Street Bob for less but it won't last, if your serious get it done right.
Just welding in plates will just turn it into another Impreza ready for scrap heap with hidden bodged up work sold on to some unfortunate newbie.
