Default Benefits of a walbro fuel pump?

Hi, I was just wondering what the benefits of getting a walbro fuel pump is. I know that they're better for reliability but what does it do performance wise?

Depends on which one you go for but most will give more flow so support an increased power level.

50% of users will say you need the car mapped after fitting or that it will run the injectors rich. Lol.

I fitted one without a map and what I noticed was was a slight increase in MPG and the cars popping and farting habits became less pronounced.

Of course this may be disputed by the sheep who find this latest revelation unbelievable.

My setup at the moment/will be is de cat up and down pipe, green panel filter, forge motorsport dump valve and a custom made back box. Gonna have it remapped soon as well.
What will the fuel pump do to improve my setup, will it add bhp.

You won't 'need' one for those mods but if you plan on future mods but depends on what power level you are going for. What turbo do you have?

A pump will not make bhp but will support other mods making it.

Regarding wallbro I would go for rcm 340lph fuel pump as most mappers will tell you they are better quality also from the experience I had with 3 walbros failing

Does any increase in fuel pressure slightly increase BHP once mapped or just throttle response?

No they don't add hp. But, your standard old pump may struggle to keep up with the extra demand for fuel and could shorten its life.
Fuel pump failure can be catastrophic so for the sake of £50 its a no brainer.

IMO at your level its not a required item although if you decide to fit one then do so when you get everything else sorted and mapped to suit..........
