Default jdm impreza sti hatch

I am toying with the idea of getting a jdm version of the UK 2008 hatch

Does anybody have one?
Does the jdm still have the 112mph limiter?
Are they more difficult/expensive to insure?
Did you import it yourself, if so what work was needed to get it UK road legal?

Great cars, but it depends what you want it for. If your planning on tuning the **** out of it you might swell buy a cheap UK hatch and go to town on it.

If your going to go for stage 1 mods and 400/450bhp then yeh it's a much better car than the UK version.
It's horses for courses

Few pics of the UK and Jap cars together

Very nice, I really wasn't a fan of the hatch when I first seen it but over the last couple of years it has grown on me. I'm considering one next year, even better if I could find a JDM version but as said, rare as hens teeth. I've only seen one Spec C for sale last year for 20 odd K.

I'm a fan of the hatch and keep looking at what's available on PH etc.
torn between putting more money into my Blobeye or selling and getting one, even the mrs is keen on the hatch.

The CS400 has been my desktop pic for a while now, amazing car.

You can import them yourself but will need to do the paperwork yourself.
I paid torque gt a very reasonable price for them to import my hawk.
