Hi all,
Has anybody experienced any bad cold starting problems with their Scooby? I've had a problem this morning, and it's caused a bit of embarrassment really. I believe that Peugeots suffer with a similar malady.
Can anyone help?

Question

RB,

What exactly is the problem?

When I first bought my 94WRX I had a cold start problem: car was not recognising that it was cold due to a broken temperature sender switch, it thought it was hot all the time! I had to keep the key turning over until it caught and held - very embarassing espescially with a Blitz exhaust and grumpy neighbours .

I hoep this helps if it doesn't then I am sure the answer is in the collective knowledge somewhere.

Cheers,

Richard

You expect this sort of thing from French cars... but a Subaru, I smell foul play.

Unhappy

Actually my MY99 has a cold starting problem, or rather a cold starting difficulty. Although it starts with the first attempt, it takes quite a lot of time and the starter motor sounds a bit pushed.

These are normal symptoms BUT they are a lot more pronouned to my Impreza than other makes.

Do you guys experience the same problem?

Accute embarassement mode on : Can't beleive I fell for it, considering I'd just got off the phone from my mate at Ralliart (I have somewhat divided loyalties) 10 mins before I posted : Accute embarrasement mode off.
