Default Checking fault codes (classic with esl)

Can anyone tell me how to check fault codes as mine has the esl daughter board on it. My abs light is on . Fluid is fine, recently changed and in getting a rubbing feeling when turning right out of junctions. Thinking maybe driveshaft, cv etc? Help appreciated

Dan

Driveshaft etc won't flag a fault code.

Send Andy a PM, and ask him how to check them.

If you have the software and it's the latest board you there is a code checker in the software, or you can read the CEL flashes as per the standard diagnostic, but as Micky says ABS has a seperate control unit, so the engine ECU won't report ABS codes.

Hi Dan

You need someone who have SSM(Subaru Select Monitor),only via this you will know what ABS error you have

Second option is you can buy OBD cable from eBay and use this program/SW FreeSSM,have look on this thread

Thanks,Jura
