Just lost a brand new tyre and possibly the rim thanks to a very large pot hole on the M25.
With the current weather and the local authorities not keeping the roads to a standard we should expect, and what road tax used to be for?
Where does our money go?
Pi55ed and rant over

Unlucky, what to do is report it to the council tomorrow morning in a foreign accent or something, stating were it is. Later that day phone again as you and say there's a pothole that's damaged your Tyre + Alloy . If it' been reported and nothing done about it within a reasonable time line, they can be liable and cover replacement costs

I heard somewhere that the council get paid something like £140 from central govement for every ( major ) I.e. 1 hole on its own , not several in a patch ha ha , just to clarify .
If that's true ?
You would think they would be out in battalions looking for them .
Then again , as it's the purse that's getting lined & not the people , you can see why they don't ... More work ... Same pay

Found out that the local authorities have 30 days to repair reported road issues that could cause harm to vehicles or public, what they do is when you report it; if it is that bad and a claim is on the cards, they carry out the repair very quickly and then dispute your claim.
Good photos and proof of size depth/width etc (not other body parts!)and date and time makes it difficult.
Also place the claim 28 days after the incident which does not leave them the time to repair and can not dispute
