Default Mist washer jets for classic

Now I 've seen a few threads about upgrading Newage ones to these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Fi...d=588232486283

Does anyone know if they will fit a classic Impreza (1998 Type R if it makes any difference)?
I know their cheap but still would prefer not to waste the money if they don't.

When you say bigger and fit, they just look big?

I got these a few weeks ago. They are a bit bigger but nothing major. The only thing I will say is when you're traveling at speed they don't spray very high up the screen however they are a lot better than the standard.
Well worth the money

Stupid question but is it just a case of disconnecting old ones and connecting these ones?

Just done a check on that site and it specifically says they won't fit classics...well, my 98 classic, anyway.

That's a bit of an underwhelming summary. Are they drastically better than the original? Is it worth the hassle and expense? Or should I stick in a few extra quids worth of V Power? :-)

Yeah sorry was in a rush when I typed it. It's been dry by me and only tried it quickly before I got home. Are they worth swapping from the crap original ones?, yep.

That's all you need in a review, "are they worth buying? yes"

Will be ordering some when I get home.

Fitted them today (1998 Type R).
Disconnect old ones, take them out the hole (obviously lol),fit the bigger ones.

They work fine but as previously mention (post 8) they don't spray as high as the originals (about halfway up the screen) but give a better coverage.

You might want to check the coverage at high speed ( motorway speeds ) as the spray level may be too low, this happened when I swapped on my Celica, was fine at low speeds and near enough hit the bonnet at high speeds.

Took your advice Oranges and have gone out for a little drive and at motorway (and slightly higher) speeds the spray pattern isn't as wide as at town speeds so doesn't go as far up the windscreen but the wipers do drag up the mist very well so you get the same coverage.

However I did find that quite a bit of screen wash ended up on the bonnet so needs to be cleaned up quickly as it dries quickly and will leave run marks, doesn't help that my car is white and that shows up nearly everything.

Are they not adjustable at all?
I did this mod on our Astra SRi CDTi, and they can be adjusted using a small piece of alloy tubing with a cross cut into the bottom.

Just had a look and the spray nozzle is recessed into the body so I can't see if it's adjustable sorry.

I would suspect your mod is the only way to alter where it sprays.
