Default A few questions about de-catting

Hi all, over the next 7 days I will be de-catting my 2005 wrx and getting it re-mapped but I have a few questions that I would like answered if possible.

1. This weekend I will be installing the down and centre pipes, I have the new gaskets and obviously the pipes and the tools, is there anything else that I would need?

2. The plan is to install the down and centre pipes on Sunday and then someone will be fitting the uppipe on Tuesday before getting it mapped next Thursday. Will it be OK to drive the car with the de-cat on just for a few days before I get it mapped?

3. If I do run the car, what kind of issues (running lumpy/engine management lights etc, etc) should i expect to run into?

4. When it comes to the MOT time, I will obviously replace the de-cat for the original, catted system but will it pass with the new map I have setup for the de catted layout or will I need to get it remapped just for the mot? What are people's experience with mots?

I hope someone can help me out with these questions, thanks, Ben.

The down pipe has to come off to do the up-pipe. So do it all in one go

Nuts, bolts etc. Till the old ones are off you wont know there condition.

Running will be fine off boost. You may get an eml

No it wont pass an mot mapped or not without cats

Cheers, what I meant was would it pass a mot with the cats back on but leaving the new map on there or would I need it remapped again for the mot and then again once the de-cat goes back on after the mot?
Thanks for the advice about the down pipe. I'm now having it all done on the 25th and then re-mapped on the 27th so minimal running without the map.
Anything else I should be aware of?
