Default 15yrs old and still sailing through MOTs

After having my uk turbo 4 yrs, I fully expected it to be due something expensive, but, once again, it's passed, with just 2 tyres and a couple of bulbs required!
Tyres and brakes are over 3 years old and have both seen 20k+ miles now, and only parts I've had to replace are a lambda sensor and a fuel filler pipe.

Can't see me ever wanting anything other than a Subaru from now on because this is the least hassle I've ever had!!

If your tires and brakes are 3 years old your not driving it hard enough! Lol.

They are good strong reliable cars if kept well serviced.

My X reg just passed, with the only advisable being low break pads - they are two years old though.

I think if you go the honest john website it lists reasons for failures on MOT's for each manufacturer and on what most MOT failures are for ie lights, suspension etc.

From memory when subarus fail, they are pretty much for minor things ie number plate lights etc.

MY99 STi sailed through MOT last week, just needed a new rear number plate bulb.
Very happy about that

My old MY99 UK turbo passed four MOTs needing nothing at all.

The last MOT before I sold it needed only a rear number plate bracket and some welding on the sills below the rear doors.

I put 75k on that car in five years and it only let me down once.
That was the common problem with the Sigma alarm cutting out the fuel pump.

Hope my M3 is as reliable.

Don't tell Fudgey this. He will cry!
I have always found Imprezas to be very reliable. Only failure I've had was on Impreza no.3, an sti 3 when it spun a shell, less than 100 miles after I bought it!
