Default Oil temp bung rounded off

My oil temp bung on cylinder three has rounded off, Ive tried a bigger socket but no difference, is there any way to remove it without drilling and risking metal falling inside the engine?

Is there any where else I could put the oil temp adapter and sensor?

Already have the oil pressure sensor fitted along with the standard switch.

Not possible to tap a big socket, or a bigger T-Star one into it?

Cold chisel should remove it, dont go mad with it though just enough to free it off

Thanks for the reply, Ive tried hammering both a 9mm socket and a star socket in, no difference.

Silly question but where should I chisel it from, the hole where the sockect goes or outside it?

Thanks

The outside, try and start a lip on it with the chisel so you can start to push it round, should not take much to free it but watch it dont slip and hit the engine casing.
