Recently bought a cobra decat down pipe for my hawk sti. When I phoned up to order it I asked to make sure it was 3" reducing to 2.5" as I have a nur spec r and need it to fit. It arrived yesterday but to me it doesn't look like it tapers down at all although it has a sort of lip which looks like it may fit into the 2.5" centre section. Anyone able to shed some light? Here's a few pics of what I mean.

 

Have you measured it?

It doesn't look like most that taper down but the exit hole does look smaller if that makes sense?

 

 

that looks like it'll fit to me and the taper is internal.

 

Yeah I had measured it. I was more worried about one flange being 3" and the other being 2.5" and wether or not the holes would line up. I've got my old centre section at home so will try pairing it up with that to check the fit. Cheers all.

 

The holes in the flanged look to be slots so should fit with both 3" and 2.5" systems I would imagine.
