Alford, Sunday 4th August
#1
Wev'e been invited by another car club to attend their event at Alford (Transport Museum) on Sunday 4th August.
Arrive from about 9:30am onwards.
All the Subarus will be in a display area of their own.
The small sprint track will also be in operation again Cheapest track event there is, as it costs a mere £5 for a few runs on the track.
There will be the usual mix of other car clubs, trade stands, food vans etc on site to keep everyone entertained during the day.
Hope for a big turn out this time

I'll be able to pop past and meet some folk as I will no doubt be out there Golfing on the Sunday.
The Alford track - do you even get into 2nd gear?!?!
Alford is about 20 miles west of Aberdeen.

It's the Capri International Club who are there. They've invited us out for the past couple of years.
You do actually need 3rd gear on the straights, though only for a few seconds.
Iti's usually a great day out, with plenty of time to laze about and chat to other owners, watch some cars on track etc.

No booking required - just turn up on the day. Entry fee will only be a few pounds.
Audi - I'm not sure if the Quattro Owners Club will be there or not, but they'll let you in anyway

I've just been informed that the track at Alford has been completely resurfaced with very smooth and grippy tarmac
If you think you might be able to attend this event, can you please let me know, so I can inform the organisers how many cars might be attending, so they can allocate us a big enough display area.
Cheers

Foz,
there have indeed been display areas for Audi's and Pugs in the past, so there shouldn't be a problem.
The first post in this thread does mention the start time

Weather isn't looking too bad, so hopefully see quite a few of you there. Not sure what time I'll get there (got other things on as well), but I should make it out at some point during the day.
Apparently Tut can't make it, so there's hope for a Scooby victory!

Hey folks
Well it was an ace day as it was pee soup down here.
Nice to meet some of you folks and nice to get some pretty sound advice as to what mods to start with.
Can't wait to get the ball rolling.
Wuz when did you say that pipe would be available?

You'd need some kit to do it, like a video capture card or firewire link to your camcorder. Camcorders sometimes come with software to convert the video to MPEG/AVI.
Perhaps you could send me a copy on VHS
