Question

Mods if possible could you leave this here as I would like to keep it local...?

I have a 1999 Cannondale F600 27spd, (Dark Grey) cost £949, medium size, with Fatty Headshock. Very good condition, Light use and regularly serviced. The problem is the bike is too light for me (25lbs)!!!. Fantastic climber but can be a bit skittish for a light person when going down the rougher stuff..

Anyone wanting to swap a Rockhopper A1 Comp FS or a stumpjumper (age not important as long as all the bits work...!)

Nothing wrong with the Cannondale, it's a great bike but I grew up riding Specialized bikes and although the Cannondale appeals to more people and seems the better bike I'd prefer to go back to what I'm used to....

Long shot I know but thought someone might be interested??

Cheers

Hmmm...I've got a Specialized Rockhopper Comp A1, but have used it for a daily commute for last 2 years from Edinburgh to South Queensferry, so may not be as tip-top as you may want it.

Have always fancied the Cannondale locking out front suspension too!!

Imlach....

Cosmetics aren't a problem! How old is the bike and is it the Manitou SX forks? And what size of frame?? Questions questions!!!

Ironically the only thing wrong with the Dale is that the headshock doesn't currently lock out! However, when it was in for it's last service at the Edinburgh Bike co-op, they told me it was a bearing that costs £35 that it needed. The suspension still works 100% but seeing as I only ever really ride off road, I didn't see the point in getting it fixed as still climbs easily with the suspension active...

I think it may be lower spec than your Dale...

This bike has a history - it has the parts off of a Rockhopper Comp steel non-suspension from circa mid-90's. The frame snapped and they didn't have a steel replacement in stock, so they swapped the frame for a A1 Comp frame and put all my old parts on.
It also only has Rockshox Indy I think....frame size 19" I think.

So, probably lower spec than you're looking for.....
