Stumbled across the thread 'are you happy with the boy racer image' and Sexy-Blue makes mention of Saxo Boy leaving you standing on the roads around here.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sexy-Blue..... Have you worked out what that pedal on the right hand side of the driver's footwell does?????

I was 100% certain that Kenny was the slowest scoob driver in the Scotland but is this true what I'm hearing.......!!!! Heh heh

*crack of knuckles*

Care to step outside sir

Never had the pleasure of playing with Sexy-blue-scoob - strictly in the driving sense Kartman - but my cars only slow around the pentlands cause the tyres suck!

Has a go in theos car last night on the same roads and whilst I was talking it very easy (not my car!!) there was a lot more confidence inspiring feedback through the steering, loads more grip and the car had sharper and better turn in (bump steer and geometry to thank also) It felt a lot more like the VTS did in that it 'talked' to me about what all four wheels were up to.

All I need to do now is to find a way to wreck my current tyres and then your mine

Cool

Saxo Boy might be quicker than me on the roads around here - but I am yet to meet him on the track !!

So when are you going to get enough 'bottle' to try Knockhill ??

Or maybe we should start with smaller things - anyone fancy a nights racing at Kartland ?

I need two months advance warning of carting events so I can go on a diet to aid power:weight ratio

As for knockhill I'm not sure I'll ever go on as I can't afford to destroy 4 tyres and front pads (will happen) and disks and rear pads (may happen)!!

I know!! I watched you driving and though doug is giving it some I wonder how his car is lasting and then I read about the destroyed tyres, pads and reskimming of disks. All in, what do you think the day cost you?

It has cost me more in ear-ache from the little lady than anything else.

That is what the car is for, but may be more prepared for my next outing. (Won't bring Dodgy!)

Should have receipts for all to see on Sunday!!!

Saxo. Just get yourself a set of track wheels and tyres (usually less than £200 as they don't need a lot of tread), and then a decent set of non-oem disks and pads (so they won't die after one outing) and it shouldn't cost you so much. The first visit was expensive for me as I trashed my oem disks, but the tyres were on their last legs anyway. I picked up a set of brand new 16's with new tyres for £400, which I put on AFTER the track day. A set of slicks would be even better, but then your limiting your options slightly in the wet weather

IMHO it's the only way your likely to get a proper feel for what your car can do - no worries about pedestrians, speed cameras, old grannies in their micras etc... just you, the track and the odd sideways wagon !!! (see piccies in the KH posting ).

You've no idea what you're missing...

Dave
p.s. If you get yourself on the outdoor karts, weight isn't such a disadvantage. You can actually take some of the corners flat out where the lighter boys are lifting

I'll maybe use a track day to kill off my tyres at some point in the future What is 'oem' by the way, I'm sure its obvious but I can't think

A shed He'll not reply till he's back in work I'm afraid - computer access. He has the same car as me and same colour except its a V-reg....done way more miles though He's got it nicely colour coded and he's put some prodrive stickers on it.......not that he has a single prodrive component on the car

Lives out your way I think

Saxo Boy....Think you'll find the prodrive stickers now removed after I decided the back one was squint... but at least my windscreen stays on at speeds over 140....! Heh Heh. However with all the donor parts my car's had on it recently who's to say what kind of car it actually is now!

Sexy-Blue.... as Kenny says it's the same as his but much shinier and the tyres actually have tread on them unlike his 'shed'...

What about yourself, what do you drive.. so I can keep my eyes open for you?

Glad you noticed the prodrive sticker. I noticed it when I was following you but didn't have the heart to tell you. Besides, I was sure you'd argue the point and we'd end up with the spirit level out to prove our points.

DBM Wagon

No pro-drice stickers but a winking scooby on the back - which adds at least 20 BHP !!!

I did wonder that which is why I'm thinking I might be confusing two different cars hear. You wouldn't get big gains on a standard car but the better fueling and ignition timing would make a difference and boost would go up a bit. Bear in mind though that with subsequent modifications John will adjust the map to suit.

Simon,

Can't believe you screwed up fitting the Prodrive logos, especially when you work in a Design Department !!!!

I bet you noticed a drop in performance when you removed it too :-)

Good Afternoon Mr Lennox (sir..!)

Talk about getting caught on Scoobynet during working hours or what!!

OK.... So I work in design and am 100% guilty of putting the sticker on about a millimetre off from straight, but seeing as you are here....... why's my outlook not working just now????

What are you doing here anyway? Should you not be perusing a Schnitzer forum or some other 'RWD Losers site'....heh heh...

You still miss the scoob really....go on...admit it, we won't tell anyone!

A divorce lawyer perhaps

Strap a long stick to your arm to press the clutch with and go rag the P1.......or.......get me to come along and rag the P1 whilst you sit in the passenger seat and enjoy

If all this fails give his tea to the dog

Edited for speeling
