smashed up scooby

Not that many of you guys are regular cruisers to strathclyde park on a sunday night, must state that i'm not either, well, maybe once or twice, however, i've heard from a few young strathycruisers who were out there last sunday night that a local group of young hoodlums smashed up a silver scoob.
anybody know anything of what happened or how much damage was done.
cheers

Quite a few of the SS-R club meet up in one of the quiter car parks there on Sunday nights though after Sunday night's incident I think they may change the venue, for a while anway. There has been some trouble over the past few months at the car park nearest the loch. Usually drunken neds out to cause some bother. The Police used to patrol it more but they have not been around so much lately though I reckon they will be back. The incident was not helped by one of the crusiers switching off the park lighting earlier in the evening, doh!
I wasn't down on Sunday night as I as away at the SIDC IOM Birthday Bash and Skye and I were probably having a rocket ballon fight with one of the other tables at the Gala dinner about that time :-) What a great weekend that was.

I'd be up for a visit here.
The park has highs and lows as far as this activity goes. I'm in SS-R as well, although yet to attend. Would be worth meeting up with all these guys in a sensible bit of the park, or elsewhere.
Not heard about the Silver Scooby till now - I used to go all the time, but it attracts some right dobbers. I see them when out walking round the park with the bird. The real cruisers are not to bad, but again its the minority syndrome.

well guys, when do you fancy meeting up at the park? i agree with the car park situ. the bottom car park nearest the loch is the 1 that seems to have all the problems. i used to meet my friends in the top car park. some nice cars in there.

Yeh, the Car Park right next to the M&D Roller Coaster is where the SS-R tend to meet up on a Sunday night. Usually from about 7:30 onwards. From about 8:30 onwards its hard to get spaces and traffic gets quite tailed back. Getting out can take ages.
Not sure what's happening since last weekends incident. There is talk of maybe meeting up at an alternative venue. Likely to get moved on from the Hotel Car park by the Police. Last time that happened the Bellshill McDs had a big queue ;-)

alright guys
if your talking about a sunday night meet, i'll be up for a bit of that, as long as we aint meeting in either of the two middle car parks and the m&d's left hand side car park is now a no go with security guards stopping entry, hotel car park sounds just the job.
anybody interested in this sunday or is that too soon ???.
cheers
p.s. had a laugh there few weeks ago, cycling round park, stumbled across a some old burd with bum in air geting it large of some bloke, did not even bother when i went past, hehe.

SS-R group is a club for people with a common interest in performance cars of all shapes, sizes and values. Run events at Crail and Kames and participate in many other car related meets. A few scooby owners in the club. More info at www.ss-r.com I might be down the park on Sunday night around 7:30pm
