Hi there,
I've only just registered here although i've browsed here quite a lot!
I'm james from aberdeen and i drive an RS2000 4x4 in petrol blue.
I see this is quite a thriving scottish section and the RSOC BB one is a tad quiet usually!
BTW, anyone going to Crail on the 30th?
I'll be there and i'm sure there are a few RS owners trying to get a wee display organised.
Cheers
Jim

Hi Kosy,
I think i've seen you post pics of your car before on either the RSOC BB or the rs2000-16v.com BB. It certainly a nice looking rep. Is the engine pretty much standard or have you gone as wild on it as you have the bodywork?
I have loads of pics of my car on my computer here but i'm not too sure how to post them. I can e-mail them to you if you wish or you could tell me how to post on here.
I'll keep an eye out for you at Crail, it would be cool to meet another scottish 2k owner.......there aren't too many!

Jim,
Engine is fairly standard:
Full mongoose system
Pipercross induction
FSE Power boost valve
4 branch manifold
It was the previous owner that did most of the cosmetics.
Im just trying to keep it as mint as possible so that when i come to sell it i wont lose any money on it.
So no more mods i reckon
How to post pic:
Go to http://bbs.turbosport.co.uk/upload.php?paction=uploader
You'll need to get a login and password.
Then make sure your pics are less than 100k in size.
Then use the uploader to upload them.
Once finished it will give you a url tag.
Copy and paste this into your post here and bingo!
Cheers,
Kos.

Doug,
Hi there. I know your car from abz, VERY loud indeed! I think we have a mutual friend - Mr Gellie? lol!
Kevin,
Not defected quite yet but the scottish section on here seems to be a tad busier!....oh and the fact there are a few folk from up this way helps too!!
Will we 'shee the beasht' at crail on the 3oth or are the r&d boys still building the box?
Kosy,
Sounds nice. I look forwrd to seeing it in the flesh. Have you been on the 2ooo-16v site? it's handy for any info you might want about the rs2000 and there's a chap on there who's got a BBR turboed cossie rep[ like yours. His usernames RS Rawli incase you're interested.
I tried that link but sadly the uploader is barred by my companies firewall!!! doh! I'll find a way to post the pics though.....
Cheers

Thanks very much for the nice comments folks!
I've got a few new bits n bobs to fit to it when i'm back home (working in Newcastle at the mo!) and it'll hopefully be at the RS Owners day on the 4th May at the Old Mill Inn by Culter Bridge.
Will any of you chaps be showing the Scoobs again? I liked your style last year just invading []the field and parking in the middle!! lol!
Carl,
Nice to see a fellow 'Donian! What is it you drive? I'lkl have to keep an eye out.
Cheers

Jim,
yes we'll have a few cars along at the OMI again this year. We've been asked to limit our numbers to 12 cars though, due to a change in rules about non-RS clubs.
We didn't invade BTW, that's where we were told to park by the organisers! I'm guessing we'll have a more discreet location this year

Carl,
Nice.. i like the superlegerra's. White must be a sod to keep looking clean though! My gran's got a Tplate 5dr turbo in white and she brings it to me to get cleaned!!! Seems to think i enjoy it or something........i tell her it's supposed to go for a 20 mile 'shakedown' to get rid of all the excess water the chamois doesn't reach after the wash but i'm not sure she believes me

what gave it away??
That's my Golf GTI 16v and my wee brothers Fiesta...
Sadly, we both have properly spaced plates now after the local constabulary took a dislike to my brothers plate... <bitter mode>although there is a lot of other cars round Aberdeen that seem to get away with it!!</bitter mode>

Nice cars!
I like the plates, shame the law doesn't like the spacing. As you say there are plenty of other cars with blantly mis-spaced plates on. Sod's law i suppose.
A friend of mines just away to sell his silver mk3 anniversary 16v. If you know of anyone who may be looking for one then i could pass on some details.
Cheers

Silver Anniversary - nice! I was looking for one of those but they are pretty rare! Ended up just going for the regular 16v GTI... I'll ask about for you, but can't think of anyone wanting one (I just tried selling mine but had no luck )

Lmao Jim, always worth a try though eh?! One day maybe...
I had never considered a white Impreza untill i saw this one for sale. I'm a bit of a car cleaning-freak anyway and wash the car as often as the weather permits within reason. I like the white though and now it's finally got a layer of polish (instead of grime ) on it it looks pretty flash when clean.
It actually hasn't been washed in over week and it still looks fairly clean atm. Better go take it for a drive i suppose....
EDIT: Should really try reading the whole thread before posting.

Mike,
yeah he spent ages looking and test drove a few before settling for this one. It came with 17in BBS rims on it but he also got the standard wheel too so it's complete. Thanks for asking about. He'll owe you a pint or ten if you manage to find a buyer!!! lol!
Carl,
Ahh, a fellow cleaning nut! My friends leve their cars filthy for weeks but i clean mine on at least a weekly basis....it is a ford after all and it would prob disappear into a pile of rust if i didn't! I may actually have my grans car for myself soon as she's about to place an order for a Jag x-type and will need to sell her car. I wonder how many folk would believe the 25k miles and one 75yr old lady owner!!

It's the CAM one. He's after either an Impreza or an M3 depends what's available when he sells his car i suppose.
If you're interested i could have a word with him about his ICE? He's got heaps of really top quality stuff in a set-up for his Golf but he's not had it in the car for a while as he needed the space in his boot. let me know and i could give you his details.
