Good to meet some new faces today to put with Usernames.
As it was mentioned, we should try and have a reasonably frequent meet, which may also bring other Scoobs along. A few passed by today...probably thinking to themselves, "look at those sad gits!!"
Up for some suggestions...
Either a car park meet, like today. Remembering the colder weather is coming in.... or my favourite...a warm pub with cold beer.
Hopefully if we plan something a bit in advance we can get more folks turning up.

It would have to be somewhere with a decent car park for us paranoid owners, who think the world is out to ding our doors!! Or somewhere local'ish for a drop-off and pick-up service from er'indoors.

Hi All,
Didn't manage to get along to the meet on Sunday @ homebase. I have now had my WRX a whole week and it is still amazing after 500 miles. Right foot smiles every time.
How many people came to the meet on Sunday?
Brian.

How long you had your car? Done anything to it?

I have considered getting the PPP fitted to this car but my mate builds stainless exhausts for a living (he is building a back box for it on Saturday) and half of the PPP is exhuast I think for the WRX, although it seems good. Don't know if the insurance hassle is worth the extra performance yet - maybe when it becomes available in seperate bits I may get it.
Have you ever driven a wagon without those mods to see if there is any improvement?

No, his company C&C are based in Hillington. Do you know the guys who do exhausts in ?Bathgate? - I think I have seen them advertised.
Did you have to pay much extra on your insurance for the mods?

Just a note guys ... am insured by Direct Line and their policy is Any Mod at all : if hp goes up 10% , add on 10% to TOTAL policy BEFORE NCD , e.g I have WRX MY03 pay approx £900 ( £1400 I think before NCD ), if I added PPP (20% inc in bhp) my policy does up £280 . Having just bought the car , will think about PPP but cant afford another £1600 . .... Did add on Prodrive backbox and DAMN does it sound better !!!

WRX mania, not seen your scoob around. I used to live in Glenalmond, but moved up the hill. I'll keep an eye out for you. I'm in a WR Blue Sti8, usually around Whitburn a lot.
On the meet front or beer front, how does the Blaeberry sound? Probably more central for a lot of us. I've no idea of time scales, so open to suggestions. I know a couple of you travel so it would revolve around that. We could discuss a way forward for the WL section of the group and possible events, so just get gassed and character assasinate CTR's and Novas.
I can taste the XC Belhaven already

Great idea Evojkp - the Blaeberry would be fine for me - easy walk or drop off distance for me!!!
Open to suggestions for times - keeping it informal is great rather than huge planned events.

WRX, to make it worse they want that on top of what they are charging me the WRsport backbox  but get this they only want £40/50 if I fit the Prodrive spring kit
evojkp, thats a bit scary easy walking/staggering distance

New to Scoob,
How much are they charging you for a backbox?
Insurance is such a rip off - a back box is not exactly hugely performance enhancing, nor make the desireable scoob more desirable really does it? Why so high a price for insurance cover. House insurance ain't that costly.
I think they make a big part of their profits from high insurance group cars to subsidise the lower groups - arghhhhh!!!!!
