Have heard about this but surprisingly only through word of mouth...not seen anything in the media.

Is it coming to Glasgow or only Edinburgh?

Really wanted to see it though....wouldn't mind getting a photo or two!

Cheers,

Stephen

AFAIK, it's only Edinburgh (being the capital I'd guess)

Info is on the BA website. They even ran a competition back in June/July for people to win a trip on it's final week.

I've got a BA members card and I've heard **** all until last week and like most that was just word of mouth.

For some reason the dep/arr times are a bit of a secret. Seems an odd way of celebrating it's final flight

Not sure where the best viewpoint is. Waiting on my friends husband getting back to us with the official times and best viewpoints. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything in concrete.

From the BA website.

NB. In order to ensure as little disruption as possible, members of the public are therefore being advised by both the police and BAA not to come to the airport unless they are actually travelling or meeting arriving passengers. Those who have to travel to the airport are advised to allow additional time for their journey and make use of the wide range of public transport options.
Typical brit establishment attitude

Just try stopping me from going along. I'm collecting my long lost cousin from South Africa. What do you mean he's not on the flight?

Should get a good view from my house near Kirkliston. We're on the hill overlooking the airport.

The Edinburgh Airport newsgroup (sad......) agrees with landing at 11:45am but says it might depart as early as 1:30pm.

However I've read that the Edinburgh Concorde will land at Heathrow at about the same time as the last flight from New York which is due at 4pm. All of the "fairwell" Concorde flights are supposed to last ~1hr 30mins so I guess a 2:30pm departure from Edinburgh might be realistic???

I've pics and video footage. Pics are on my SLR, so will need to wait to see how the turn out.

Watched in land in the fields right in front of the runway (around Turnhouse golf course). Then went to Newbridge and parked in the little road in front of the runway. It was feckin loud, I can tell you.

Spotted a nice Scooby with Repsol livery. ne1 on here?

I was there Took an extra long lunch hour to watch it - was perched on top of a derelict excavator next to the runway

Awesome sight! Thought I was going to fall off as it roared into the sky!

Ozzy - think we saw you heading back towards Edinburgh - well it was an RB5 with a plate like yours on it anyway

If it was missing the driving lamps, then it was mine Took them off to give them some TLC a few nights ago.

I was heading back into Edinburgh from Newbridge and onto the Bypass/M8 back to Livingston.

Well worth seeing in the flesh.

Wink

People have been getting killed day-in, day-out since time immemorial and wars have been going on all of this century. I think it's good people can get together and celebrate something as cool as concorde.

Maybe you should get out more instead of hiding behind your computer screen repunzel

The Repsol car was Mine.

I noticed you (rb5 no lights) stop at the west end of the airport after it left, hope you didn't have any sort of problem.
