It's definately worth going too.

It's basically a hot hatch day, but cars are supposed to have a minimum value of 10k..although i'm sure most of them arn't worth that.

Anyways...that, along with more experianced drivers, it makes a good afternoon out.

Get on the track mate, there's still places and you only have to drive as fast as you like. I wish i went on first time i was there. Since then i've not had the chance, you won't be the only first timer out there and i'm not expecting any lap records

Once you have a go you will be hooked. Great fun once you get over the first few laps. Just take things easy and build up speed gradually. Make sure you allow a few laps to get your tyres up to temperature as cold tyres are the usual reason for spins. Check mirrors and allow faster car by and youll be fine. Helps to lift off the throttle a touch to let some cars by. Elise's tend to be faster around the corners but have trouble getting by many cars on the straight. Not letting them by can lead to frustration which can then lead to some last minute overtaking on corners which can be a bit intimidating.

Even if you don't take your own car on then make sure you get some pax laps. SIDC days are best for this as cars have Passenger's Welcome stickers on them but even at a Hot Marques event youll find somebody that will take you out. Just ask, the worst they can say is No (has happended to me a couple of times but always found somebody else). I hopefully have a Pax lap lined up on the fastest car on track that day.

If falls on the same day as the S I D C Open Day at AWD which probably means not many Scoobs on track. Maybe they will take a run down during the Afternoon to spectate/pax.

Hi Sambo, are you on 200sx BB as sambo????

I've signed up for saturday :-)

If you're not on track give me a shout for passenger laps - same scooby as last time - UK 99 DBM with gold wheels :-)

You will not be chasing your shadow too much. Vito is also running an event in conjunction with the Hot Marques event and so far the following are confirmed

Lotus S2 x 3
Lotus S1 x 2
Lotus 160 x 2
Mini Works x 2
Caterham x 4
Radical x 2
Evo 6
Skyline
Subaru
BMW M3

Pity it clashes with the SIDC AWD open day or more Scoobies might have been on track.

Cal, and any others from West Coast

Meant to say that a few Elises will be meeting at the Little Thief at 09:45, leaving at 10:00 with a fuel stop at Kincardine.
