I`d agree with that, especially when exiting Clarks...I caught a black SC02 xxx scoob......with a passenger in the back, which is , of course, strictly forbidden.

Maybe because of all that weight onboard...I was able to pass it before the hairpin. 8^D

most impressed with the white scoob with rear tints, may have been M or N reg .

best handling scoob I have ever seen especially at the hair-pin , looked beautifully balanced for steering with the rear for proper powerslides , rather than the momentum ones most scoobs use to get side ways.

looked a good turn-out. ended up wishing that I had taken my own car up so that I could join in.

had to leave at 2pm

 

was impressed by that man in the my95 he done well at the hairpin!

Was well impressed with the white Scoob as well. Got a few pax laps out in Elises which were intersting to say the least, very entertaining for the spectators at the hairpin though. I also got pax laps in the black Porsche Carrera. That was his first time on track in it and he was well impressed with it, so was I and it was so comfy into the bargain.

Bit of a pain cars having to use the main car park instead of the pit lane as it made socialising and getting pax laps harder.

Conditions on track were the worst I have seen for ages (Obviously not organised by JohnS) with the rain just comming down in torrents. The session in fact closed half an hour earliy because of the lack of visablity. I had just lined up a pax lap with a BMW Mini as it shut. Probably just as well as they spent a lot of their time on the green stuff.

Hats off to all those mad enough to have a go in the poor conditions. Any ideas of the lap times, some guys seemed to be going round pretty quick??????

 

Was there a green Caterham or a grey Porsche out?

 

the guy I am on about is called graham redpath I think.

I timed a few of his laps and they where about 1min14/15's

Got cool footage of the usual beasts - the grey Skyline was IMMENSE ( what a sound) !I've got footage of it going insane on full boost in additon to the white scoob that was hangin' it's tail ooot.....In fact i have camcorder footage of all the scoobs

Scoob were in their element today. I only went out 3 times - didn't feel confortable with the non ABS boys sitting up your chuff going into some of the bends. The Mini drivers pissed me off ( EVERYONE whipped their puny erses on the straight)were taking the worst lines and i saw them cut up Scoobs on 3 occasions ( at hairpin). That would explain why they were always flyng off track

WTF was a Fiat estate doing on track ?

a) it wasn't worth anywhere near 10k
b) it was slow as a week in Barlinnie
c) it caused huge bottlenecks
d) it took some appalling lines
e) it rolled like a pig in ****

Put's you off going to Hot Marques when scrap like that gets out on track ......poor show from the KH marshalls / organisers

Still had HUGE fun and it has only made me more hungry for next year. Only had to spend £10 to fill up my tank and the tyres had practically zero wear.......

I badly need one of these for next year

Judge, what happened to you in the morning then? up late??

65miles and one set of pads later, i got a couple of laps done

I can safely say that the ABS works, on every braking area. I'm sure on some laps the car was sideways from duffus through to clarks

And those Mini's, luckily they were too slow to cause any sort of real hold up.

As for the fiat. LMAO.

I thought the standard of driving was really good, given the weather it could have been a nightmare out there.

I got in to the little thief just as the Elises were pulling out so I went onto the motorway just ahead of them,I saw your car in the carpark but I must have nipped off too soon and lost you all! Sorry. P.s yes I was late but then again the only thing I can confidently do early when the good lady is involved is ejaculate!

The track day was superb mind you,a real test of driving.A few of the cars didn't meet the criteria in my opinion (Fiat estate??!!) but all in all the driving was very good. Poor sod in the silver Exige went spinning off in front of me and cracked the barriers,looked sore and expensive! He seemed alright though.

Ace day though and cant wait for next year!!

 

This was the car of the day ( with blue decals)IMHO



The sideways scoobs gave good sideways spectating for the sheltering masses......

Civic Type R,totally agree with you mate,I believed that the whole idea of a Hot Marques event was that the track was "Shed Free" and thus people were greatly less inclined to drive beyond the limits of there car and potentially stuff there **** whacker into a decent motor.I considered my preconcieved idea as I rapidly approached the rear of said estate vehicle.Oh,thought to myself,he must be a sensational driver to have been let on by the Knockhill staff and must be known to them to be a bit tasty behind the wheel................this idea,however went out of my head as he left Glenvarigill backwards and ploughed a furrow which could only be measured in acres! Oh yes his car was "Top Marked" for the rest of the day thank you!

Everyone else was cool though and deepest respect for going out on that skidpan!

Surely a 95 Scooby does not meet the criteria as well? Must be worth about 4-5k!

The left hooker Porker was indeed Mr Neale's. Well impressed with it and great fun trying to take out the exit cone on the hairpin.

Thanks for that Skyenet. I was wondering when he would get it out to play. I had a brief run in it a few weeks ago. We had high tea at a nice hotel the he proceeded to demonstrate how good his brakes were while I tried not to throw up in his car.
So it is a bit tail happy then?
