Today was meant to run like this:

-> Get Up
-> Check Bank to see that money had arrived
-> Go to work
-> Leave work 30 mins early
-> Pick up Scooby in Perth
-> Enjoy myself driving it for the rest of the evening/night
-> Go to bed, happy in the knowledge that I have a Scoob in the garage!!

HOWEVER, "the powers that be" had other ideas... and my day has turned out like this:

Ok, well got up, check my bank account on the net, no loan come thru… Ok, so I phoned up my loan company only to be told that they only sent the money yesterday and that it wouldn’t be there until Monday or Tuesday now!!

I then got in my car and drove to work, everything went well until the other person who I was working with went home ill. Leaving me to deal with everything on my own, annoying but fair enough, I could handle it!!

Then tried to reply to someones text message only to be told that my mobile bill was unpaid (even though I had set up a direct debit, this was never actually put into place apprently ) and they were suspending my account til I paid it, (2 months worth as well, so not a tiny bill to find ), I didn’t have any cards on me today so I cant pay the bill over the phone and when I told them that I authorise someone to pay it for me, they refuse because its not me who they will be talking to!!

Ok, so at lunchtime, I go down to my bank to see if there is any way to extend my overdraft so that I can buy the car tonight, and just pay it back on Monday when the guaranteed loan comes through. NO, sorry, we cant help is all that I am told, so fuming with rage by this point I storm out of the bank and walk towards my car, the car that I am trading in for the scoob!!

There was something different about it, and then I noticed it, some f*cker had scraped the driver side of the front bumper, and there is a crack and HUGE scratch/scraps in it now. So by this point I am almost crying tears of rage!! I have a look round and there is no CCTV, there are no people about, and there are no notes with insurance details sitting on the car.

WHAT A F*CKING DAY!!!

So I need to get some advice, do I repair the bumper, or do I leave it and take a hit on the p/ex value? How much of a hit will it be?

Cheers,
Grant

Yeah Johnny, think I'm just gonna try and touch it up mate, make it look a little better hopefully!!

Fingers crossed that he doesnt take too much off the p/ex value of it?!

Davie - You are very right mate, I think I'll head out into town for a few pints, either that or just go to gym to attack the punch bag for a while!!

Cheers,
Grant

Thanks Bee...

I had already waited a week though, and now got to wait the WHOLE weekend while driving a crappy Mondeo instead of a Scooby!

This just means that the smile will be even bigger when I do finally get it!

Cheers,
Grant

Get the t-cut out - it's probably mostly paint from the other car that makes it look bad.
Can't see it affecting the p/ex to be honest. They'll be happy for the sale at this time of the year I'd have thought - just tell them you can't afford it if they drop the p/ex price !

What a day !!!

Thanks Pete, standby for a phonecall mate!!

I'll let you see the damage anyway, thinking about trying to touch up the scratches so they are less obvious..

I got your mail about stuff mate, we can chat about that tonight if we meet up, or if not then at the meet next Sunday!

Well...

Quick update guys!!

Out in town last night, to try and calm down after my hellish day.

Anyway, went away with a couple of friends, was away from my car for 15 minutes at the VERY most.

I came back to the car to find that some c*nt has kicked the back bumper, shattered about a 10inch area of that, and then kicked the rear panel putting a dent in it, and cracking the paint.

I cannot believe that over the 3 years that I have had this car, nothing has happened and within the space of a day all of this has been done to it??

I have gone over everything and I havent annoyed anyone, havent cut anyone up, havent done anything to irritate anyone... Its just bad luck, but absolutely gutted that this happened a day before I trade the car in..............

Talked to the police, they said they couldnt do anything cause it was Friday night and the CCTV was concentrated on the trouble areas of the town centre, and not on the Car Park itself.

But loan came thru today so taking the car up to Perth to try and trade it in tomorrow at 12pm, but not looking forward to what he's going to take off for the damage that is on the car!!

What a complete mess all this is now...

I am going to get absolutely hammered tonight just to try and forget all of this for a wee while!

Cheers,
Grant

I have got it!!

Awesome, apart from the fact that the garage couldnt supply it with its De-Cat on the car dues to some legal stuff about supplying a car that wouldnt pass an MOT... But got the exhaust with the car, so if anyone knows someone who can fit it ASAP then I would be willing to buy them a pint or three!!

All the hassle is behind me now, the car looks good, goes well, 4WD is amazing even on the slippy, greasy roads we've got at the moment, and is alot of fun!! (I'm learning fast..... )

Teknopete - You know of anyone who can help me out in our area with fitting this exhaust ASAP mate??

Cheers,
Grant

Yeah, well they did end up taking 400sheets off me for the p/ex…

But the damage on the rear wing was pretty bad, as it was just along the bottom of the wing, cracking the paint and creasing the bottoms of the wing, it was actually a pretty bad mess!! Also needed a new rear bumper, and the front bumper sprayed and plastic welded...

If I ever catch the little scummers who did this then I just hope that the CCTV cameras are pointing the other way again!!

But, loving the car, just a bit quiet without the De-Cat on it...

Cheers,
Grant

At the moment I've got a single exit round 3 or 4" back box and de-cat section lying in the garage at home for it... Just need to get them fitted!!

But I want a Firestorm, so yep, if you could put me at the front of the queue for yours then I'd be grateful!!
