Cool Knockhill Today

Some good sights today although I missed the first skirmish between a classic and an exige!! Some exopy and wet/dry paper should see it okay

Plenty of sideways action at the hairpin -

- MR2 ending up stuck in the infield
- Elise forgetting to turn round the hairpin
- E6 and Classic wagon...perfect powersliding
- GT3 RS having a serious fishtail moment almost nudging the tyrewall.
- Escort Cossie losing it well before the hairpin. Strangely this was parked in a ditch away from Knockhill, being recovered by an outside agency

A good variety on show, M3, exige, E5/6/7 and 8, althought I think the guy in the E8 was actually on his way to Tescos and ended up on track after a wrong turn . Caterhams, Hondas and a gaggle of Porches.

Good to me up with Dougster and Cal, although Cal didn't hang around for long, once he was offered to go on for £30. Nice job of nearly staying with the Red GT3 mate. You must have got some good footage, especially of the Elise spinning in front of you at the hairpin..dodgy moment !!

Roll on next week. I hope it's raining, as today look a lot of fun.

Any of the scooby owners out today on here?

I thought I recognised the plate on the stickered up car but didn't get a chance to speak with you.

The boys in the red and blue classics, did the marshalls have words after some of your spectacular antics at the hairpin?

The only reason Cal stayed in touch with the GT3 was the fact that it had run out of gas and the owner was pushing it round the track!!!

See you all next w/e.

evojkp- saw the escort you mentioned. just posted on Type-r scotland, that i was sure he had been on track, you just confirmed it. the two of them appeared very confused to what had happened. they were looking about 10 yards behind the car, as if they had lost something,(the front drivers wheel) pretty obvious i thought?.
anyways getting back to this afternoon, dougie nice to meet you mate. very good turn out, loads of thrills watching some of these guys taking there machines to the extreme. just hope next week is as good, the rain seems fun(to watch), not sure if i fancy it as wet when i take the beasty on, value me motor, but it seems fun to power slide at the chicane, as long as i am not in the company of certain classics and elises, lol

Talking Mad fur it .........

ROFL @ "Escort Cossie losing it well before the hairpin. Strangely this was parked in a ditch away from Knockhill, being recovered by an outside agency " The boy driving was either struggling with the box or couldny drive chickens oot a mideen wi' a stick

Actaully wrote a lenghty post in here last night that clearly hasn't made it's way in here ......damn - dial Up !!!

Good banter yesterday although KH pomme frites were substandard despite liberal application of tommy K ( 99% vingar content) !!!

Really enjoyed watch¡n' the circus @ the hairpin right up until my forearms spasmed and right foot began to move of its on accord -the joys of cold turkeying.

Not reviewed footage yet but I have a sneaky feeling that the GT3 episode was never recorded due to human malfunction on my part ! - never mind, only reason I kept up with him ( just ) was due to standing on the brake peddle with 2 feet at every corner. After 2 controlled tail out moments my bottle crashed like that black WRX and it was time to retire gracefully.

Twas good to catch up wth with (big) John and it was noted mini-me's boredom has a direct correlation with on-track activity. Start saving for the wee mans car now and he'll have a peach o' a chariot @ the ripe old age of 21 !!

Nuff verbal merd fae me ! Awa' to review footage and spank the monkey over carbon fibre wing and 6 pots

Next week should be TREMENDOUS !!!!

Footage to follow once when I return to life with ISDN ( still slow as a week in Bar-L)

Cal

Cal, yip a good day. The wee man kept going on about the cars crashing. He wants go back, but only if there is guaranteed carnage...well he is only three and fed a diet of Power Rangers and Heavy Gear (those with kids will relate!!)

Dougie, only spectating mate as mini-me was with me. Im definetly gonna try for some serious tracktime this year. Maybe not the fastest, but I'll have the biggest grin.
