happed to my mates evo 6 tme they ripped his spoiler right off and they done it to edinburgh negri but didnt manage to take off the boot lid

I feel for you mate, went to get in the scoob this morning only to find some sad **** had gone and keyed "LOSER" into my bonnet. I was almost sick when I saw it.
I think we should be looking into forming a vigilante style group and getting some retribution!!! I so wish I knew who did both of these horrendous acts.

I remember having my little Uno Turbo under attack, and I repaired the car costing several hundered quid, only for it to happen again. 2nd time round is worse. Both you guys need to think of this as well, cause its a horrible feeling. You need to develop a prevention plan if possible.

I am totally amazed by this sort of thing, I mean you could see the point if someone broke into your car to nick your stereo to sell, dont get me wrong im not condoning this but in some way there is a point to doing it. To rip a spoiler off or to key someones car for no benefit other than some twisted sense of pleasure is just pure evil. Ive had a car broken into and also vandalised and really the best thing to do is try and forget about it. You can drive yourself insane with the "if only i was looking out the window as they were doing it" type thoughts. Chances are you will never find out who done it, its hard but it really is best to try forget whats happened but if you do happen to find out who they are then its a bonus.

Well, not sure if it makes it better or worse, but I found the missing piece of spoiler last night when I went for a wander round the neighbourhood. Don't know if that means it was purely an act of vandalism, or if the wonker decided that it wasn't worth keeping incomplete. Hoping I can at least use the top piece as it's detachable from the lower section. It'll hopefully make it a slightly cheaper repair !

Still can't quite believe someone would do this for no reason other than jealousy or greed - strange things people !!

JVS - no it wasn't at my house. I was crashing at a friends after a few beers.

I guess this is the best time to see what the top speed of the P1 is then !! No rear drag should add an extra couple of mph I'd have thought !!

Was talking to Dougster yesterday about the meet, and we're thinking it might be a good plan to move it back a bit later. The knockhill motor fair is on, and there's bound to be a few of us going up for this on the Saturday (I'm going to have to work Sunday). Should we break with tradition and make it a 7pm start ?? As far as I can remember there's only a handful of us anyway (from memory me, you, dougster, spooks, my04 and thunderlips). Moving it back might allow a few more to come.
If we eat there, it'll avoid all this cooking malarky too !

I doubt it will help but would it be worth giving whats left of the spoiler to the ol bill they might print it ang get a hit, Prolly not but its worth a try.

 

I asked them and they said it was pointless as there would be no proof that the prints belonged to the culprits. Could have just been an innocent passer by who happened to grip the back of my spoiler as they past walking their dog !!

 

They're just fobbin you off mate. Go see someone higher up.
An innocent passer by is unlikely to have their prints on file. Known offenders on the other hand...

Ok, so that will prove fairly conclusively who did it, but not enough to prosecute I wouldn't have thought. I will contact them again however, and see what they say. I'd certainly love to stop this happening to anyone else !

 

had the same happen to my p1-police absolutey useless as ever!
it cost...£1500 for new spoiler as it is half sti5 spoiler and prodrive top!!

I recovered the top, so hopefully it'll be a little cheaper for just the sti5 bit !
