Don't know of any in Glasgow, but Pentland in Edinburgh stock it. If you're at Knockhill on Saturday, I could pick some up for you this week and exchange at KH.
PM me if you're interested.

I think that is only if you are mapping for it. my own car was mapped for plain optimax and I use the booster for safety on track/rolling road days. during the winter I found the optimax quality varied quite a bit , shown by the knocklink spiking some greens , so added 1ml NF per litre of fuel and it cured it.

John, your tip of topping up occasionally with Optimax instead of filling the tank is keeping me busy but the car is noticably smoother and pulls that bit harder just after a top up.

Pops and bangs like a firecracker also!!

Grant,

There's a theory that optimax goes off and it's octane rating effectively drops over time. Topping up more often (rather than filling completely) should help this. It also means if you do get a bad tank (watch your knock link lights), it won't take as long to use it up.
Final advantage is you get loads of top trump cards !!!

At least I think that's the tip !!

Kev, let me know if you want me to take a bottle along on Sunday - goodness knows I wont be needing it for a while Or if you want there should be the better part of a bottle in my car you can borrow some out of (should be behind the driver seat).

NF works very quickly, thrash it for a mile including some good braking and cornering and the ignition advance you can run changes dramatically.

Spooks - NF First then petrol.

Thanks Kev Depends on your definition of soon - that pipe has to get there, then the whole lot has to get back here, then you get to put it all back together Then maybe I get to drive my car for the first time in months
You know you enjoy refitting them - just think how much extra space you lot will have If it is any consolation I don't have any plans to have mine taken out again

I'll be at Crail, so will take a bottle with me Travelling with the walking wounded AKA the RX-7 owners, so assuming none of them self destruct we should be through there for half nine.

Might even make it out to The Garage before then as I believe Bob is wanting me to map his car before Sunday and my datalogit is in my car, hence a trip to Wishaw.

SOME greens (cough) I thought you'd wired it up like that to get into the christmas spirit

LOL,

anything more than greens are my gearchange/fuelling issue. I had cured it by fitting a forge VTA with weak spring , to richen up the gearchange but I re-fitted the stronger spring for crail and the knocklink is banging reds on every fast change again.

john banks was out in the car during the week and thinks the fpr is not keeping up , at the higher pressure I am running to use the 440's. I think the time has come for 550's.

Question regarding the top-up theory. Is this to overcome the Optimax going off in the garages tank or your cars tank?

I'm assuming it's the garages tank, but thought I'd ask. I get through a full tank once a week, so can't see it going off in such a short time.
