Well....If you look at the Alford results you will see a Mi16 engined 205 was the fastest car of the day.

Chris, hate to tell you mate but if that car is as quick as it's spec makes out it probably will do a scooby, LSD 7200rpm etc etc. Be a bit different if it was raining though.

7200rpm?? Try 8k! it only starts to drop off (slightly) at 7,800rpm. Yes of course, no point in having a 2WD v's 4WD debate, I'd go no where fast if its damp. However if I can catch a Scoob mid-range in the dry then I can pull away. At 70mph in 3rd gear (we both slowed down for the speed camera) I booted it and so did a K plate 911 Carrera (about 300+bhp?) at the same time and I pulled away from him! I can also more than stay with a sorted (280+) Scoob on the twisties. My mate had a white STI Type R V5 and although he pulled away from standstill, as soon as we got on the dualler I had him!

You have to laugh, me and my mate certainly did when I can wave in my rear view mirror at a 911 as it drops back! Guy's face was a picture.

Believe me, it IS as quick as the spec, I have the times to prove. I'll never compete over the 1/4 mile due to launching it, but i usually always have a higher terminal speed and I'm gaining on it by the end of the strip. If only I could launch it better

If your brave enough, try launching the 205 in second if it's got a close ratio box, will cut down on the wheelspin but you run the risk of F'ing the clutch etc.

John

p.s. Top for a nice wee mota

Just re-read the spec, only thing I'd change are the Ecosse -60 springs too low IMO unless your running coilovers, the shock is running a serious chance of bottoming out.

Not saying its not quick, but why come onto a scoob site and call your car a scooby killer?.

Did you goto the MLR site and do the same?.

Anyway, my mate GS has built a 300bhp corsa, yip 300bhp. ok its a corsa, but will waste most bikes never mind cars.

good luck with the sale.

Don't know if I'd buy it, but certainly would love a shot of it.

The specs looks like it would be an absolute hoot!!

Good luck with the sale mate, ye'll miss it when it's gone.

That'll be running a 2lt turbo or V6 motor then, hope he's put the chassis strenthening tie-bars on it, also it'll torque steer like a b1tch without a LSD, also only waste bikes Chris once he gets traction, by that point most bikes will be pulling 80/100 mph.

Sounds like a bit of baiting going on here

John, well i hate to say!, was told 400 was as easy as 350, some gems, injectors, fuel pump, and custom s/s sorst, and a couple of hours of BRD.

You ready to rock the rollers big man?

So you agree that I am correct then. Hence it is a scooby beater.

Only barely by the width of a pubic hair I bet the tolerance of the timing rig is not that good that this would be reliable!

I think you have redefined the phrase "grudging acceptance" Hugo.

Do you know the spec of the 2nd place scooby?
