Just back from totb3
Just back from a spot on day at Elvington for TOTB3.
Was brilliant to see so many quality cars on track. These guys know the crack when it comes to squeezing every last drop of power out the motors safely.
Andy F was on good form with his new toy and was amazing round the handling track but unfortunately he was just beaten. Might have been due to the weather conditions(Scorcher) in the last part of the day. But when you saw the guys he was up against he was really the winner as the other three guys he was up against looked like they had spent a shed load on the cars, but only just had a small edge.Says a lot for Andy's ability to tune a car in a short space of time. The others had been developing the cars forn a good while.
I'm sure there is more to come from the blue rocket in the next wee while.
Apart from the action today we had a crackin' night on Saturday. The Dougster was exellent crack after a few wines and stellas and kept us all entertained till the small hours........much to the disgust of the other (non TOTB) campers.
Was good to meet some of the southern Scoobyneters or is it nutters???Kept me an the missus entertained with events such as tent flatening, Anti lag cossies at dark o' clock, the art of draging a man round a campsite in his tent then striping him, drifting past inocent campers in the morning and many more. Most of which is remembered with the numbing effects of the demon drink
Anyway, off to bed to catch up on some shut eye soon.
Catch ya's later
P.s Thanks for the axe wound to my forehead Dougster, the pain is easing.....if you remember what I'm talkin about

Great day though, and my red scalp can verify that the sun was stronger than it felt !! Looking forward to next year, and am getting tempted to put a wee bit of money into the Skyline before the next one
Thanks for the company Steve and Johnny. Hope it didn't cost you too much more than the Tdi would have !?!

IS that what happened to crd@s scoob then, i missed that. I saw it later with the side all dented and couldn't think what he could have hit. I s'pose to people who don't really know scoobs andy's car could easily look like a P1 easpecially with the anthracite wheels

No idea who that was J. Put a 'was it you' up but haven't had a reply. He caught me up by the time I passed Gladsmuir, as I slowed a bit to let things cool down . Followed me up till I got to the bypass turning, and he kept going straight into Edin. !! Didn't recognise the car at all
