2.5 to 3 hrs from Inverness to Wick depending on traffic and roadworks, quite a few on the A9 at the moment. Also be on the lookout for Northern Constabulary, although we don't have any speed cameras up here they do have a high presence on the road with both marked and unmarked cars and the safety camera van can be found anywhere on the A9

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll be in the chug-power and with family, so no hooning.

I think we'll stay in Inverness then, do the rest the next day. Unless i can get a DVD player for a steal with Balamory/Me Too on loop for my girl.

pretty sure you can do it in 2.5 hours without pushing at all. I can easily make from thurso to ness in under 2 hours without breaking 70mph and obeying all town limits, and thats a little bit further and theres a bus that takes 3 hours with a dozen stops and various little detours so you should be quicker than that!
Also worth a look but not the definitive list.

1hr45mins from Wick to Inverness and 1hr50mins to Sterling.

Some roads from Wick to Inverness. Great, flowing and excellent road surface too. Just wish the rest of the country was like that!!!

The traffic was good and my boots were heavy.

Went upto your Location. Saw more scoobs there, than i do on the glasgow -> edinburgh commute.

Even the wifey commented on a Black STi she saw whazzing along. We later saw it again.

Cracking roads up there

Did it in 2hrs 35 minutes at the weekend. Never went more than 9 mph over the marked limit at any point, but the trip computer showed a 58 mph average (and 32.8 mpg )
