alrite all,

i have an MY93 wrx import, had rebuilt engine less then 3000 miles ago, i was at shell petrol station last nite i put £30 optimax in it then drove 12 miles and car just lost al power, i tried to restart but it wouldnt i tried for 3 hours but nothing?

i can hear fuel pump and ican smell fuel, when u try to start it it backfires very loud like a firework then clouds of brown smoke from exhaust and heavy smell of fuel?

RAC took me home guy didnt know why it was doing it no faults showing and fuel was getting thru and was getting spark, i have new injectors std ones i and changed crankshaft sensors when rebuild was done, idle control valve was also changed during rebuild

im skint at mo and cant afford to take to a garage after rebuild wiped me out is there any body that could help me out or even have a look it at for me i would cover all fuel costs etc

I would take it back to the garage that rebuilt the engine mate, could be an underlying fault with the workmanship thats just come to light now...

 

i would have a check with the crank senser mate. if fuels getting in, its not firing in sequence. or check the coild are firing proper mate

 

thanks for replies guys garage had a look at it and dont have a clue whats wrong with it told me they cant do anymore for me!! got nasty and they called police on me oe im barred as i was shouting at them cowboys etc,

now im really stuck
