Default Anyone in or around East Kilbride

Hi folks, I recently rebuilt my scooby engine with a new bottom end but the engine has some kind of 'tappety' diesel fiesta noise I am trying to find.

Is there anyone who could pop round for a listen and give me any ideas.

I am going to try the screwdriver against the block/ear, and removing the injector plugs one at a time to try and narrow it down but another pair of ears just to hear the noise would help.

I am off work thurs-sun and will be working on the car most days.

Thanks Chris..

I'm near EK, but i wouldn't know what i was listening for, sorry. But if you need a hand, give me a shout.

Super busy with a current poker table build, but could pop by.

Does it quieten when it heats up? What was done (pistons, rebore etc)

Some rebuilt engines with certain forged pistons have a bit of slack which is taken up when warm so it sounds like adeisel on start up but gets quiet when warm.
