Caught speeding on the M80
#1
Damn - got caught last night on that stupid 50mph stretch of the M80.
They clocked me doing an average over two miles of 66mph! Towards the end they were tailgating me with only their side lights on - and it was 10:30pm.
3 points and £60. 32 years old and my first speeding ticket.
Done speeding at 66mph on a motorway, at night, no rain, empty road = not a happy bunny!

£71000 speeding fine for executive
in a country with astronomical speeding fines, mobile phone mogul Anssi Vanjoki has to wait and see if he will de the new Finnish
record holder.
Vanjoki an executive vice president of Nokia was cuaght speeding
at 46mph in a 30mph zone on his Harley Davidson in a Helsinki suburb.
He was handed a ticket amounting to £71000 based on his 1999
income, when mainly option sales gve him a net income of £3.6 millon.
In Finland traffic fines are liked to an offenders income, not taxable wealth and theres no limit.
The case gose to court nexy month.

Been done there as well just recently. Its the bit where the Moodiesburn motorway joins the main M8 from Edinburgh towards Glasgow.
The bit from the Charing X turn off to the kinda underpass thing just before the Kingston Bridge.
As you say, empty-ish road and I wasnt exactly weaving inand out to get by.... nice leisurely pace (67MPH) and not causing any hassle.
Funny thing was they saw fit to flash the Micra that was sitting on my rear bumper waiting to get by. When I asked he said "catching fastest car on the road" which cleared it up right away if you see what I am saying
I have a good mind to pull those turbo badges off the back of me car

Diablo - it was a 4*4 marked car - usually very observant but with it being dark and they seemed to have their lights on sidelights only, I missed it.
Really crappy bit of road to get done on.
Oh, and compleley agree Richie - I'm sure if the Turbo and rear wing wasn't there that I would have been passed by.
Richard.
