I need to get an engineers report on my modified brakes for insurance purposes. Anybody know anyone in Aberdeen who can do this or me?

All I need is a headed paper letter saying the brakes are 'to a roadworthy standard'.

Had my AP's checked by the dealer during a routine service. They checked the installation and then put the car on the MOT rollers to check the performance. Then put a statement on the invoive stating that all was okay. Didn't charge either!

If, for any reason, your insurance company don't want to accept the word of a dealer, how about an auto engineering consultant / assessor ?

The fact that they're used to dealing with insurance companies might mean that they get the paperwork / wording right first time.

There's a couple listed below. I've no personal experience of either but I saw the first one a wee while ago and noticed that they've got a small garage / workshop attached to their office.

I used J Davidson for a report regarding warrenty work. It had the desired effect on the dealer ( non subaru). Davidsons seem to be well respected in the trade. Not sure if they still have the Aberdeen office, may only have a Dundee branch.
