Had a test drive in Perth today.First impressions - only allowed up to 4500 revs but VERY smooth power delivery (compared with old model UK cars).brakes are very good also and you can tell this thing handles..even without going ballistic speeds. Very quiet though...probably too quiet for most!De-cating would be the icing on the cake required I think. Incidentally, they said all the 'normal' sti's have been sold - 750 or so. prodrive cars are still available though.

Amazing the b*ll*cks dealers tell you. I've just come back from another dealer in the south of Scotland. I was unable to test drive the STi but was able to see one which was sold to a customer yesterday.

I was convinced enough without a test drive that this is going to be my next car. I have ordered one today. I am led to believe that it will be delivered in April/May and it is a non-Prodrive version.

It looks fabulous, by the way (in Blue black).
