Well - I'm taking a 2 week holiday on the glorious isle this summer, and I'm gonna need to fill up on a few occasions whilst I'm on there.

Which of the (3 I know of) petrol stations to use in the northern end of the island?

I'm taking my NF octane booster with me, but which gas?

The two in Tobermory are both good, but out of corporate loyalty I advise you should use the green & yellow one (McKay's). You will also get lots of good rally chat there. I don't know about the one in Salen coz I've never used it.

Look out for the many local Imprezas, range from young lads back from working at sea, the bloke who almost always wins the Tour of Mull rally and the old codgers spending their retirement money.

If you need any off-sales or hardware, I can recommend a very good shop on the Main St, next to the bank

enjoy

PS the record from the "Welcome to Tobermory" sign to the "Dervaig" sign is 6 min 24 secs.....

Aye, it's away up the lochs - I think someone heard that 6'24" was set in a Japanese 4WD, and got confused with a Daihatsu Hi-Jet.

Expect details of an organised trip to Mull at some point. Either later on this year, or spring time next year. Should be a great weekend away
