Nice one Dave
I was out playing with John Bank's car and assisting with the new EBC set up.
Didn't think there was going to be much competition at Crail
Looks like it's going to be fun next time....the race to 11s is on !
C'mon Sam, the Scoobs are pulling away

Didn't beat much myself yesterday, dunno what my times are cos they havnae been updated on the site yet, regardless i still need more power
would a superchip make much difference? just until i save up enuff for my supercharger conversion.
Had a great drive though on Sunday, some quality country road sections. Safely say thats the fastest ive ever taken my car round any section of road :-0 was hairy but great fun.
Was nice to meet up with the peeps from perth and Dundee for the journey through.
*dave* what u said about having to have a bolt loose to drive a scooby was bang on m8 lol

Nissan mad
fast & furious...just before they blow up the green eclipse..another name for the two wheeled variety of fast transportation.
CC & Sam
I was told there will be scouts at the next event looking out for the quickest cars.Theres a 'quickest car in Scotland' shootout scheduled for later in the year...so dont miss the next one on the 7th
One of my club members is getting his gti-r rebuilt by DP.It ran low 11's last year and should be down in the 10's once the 2.2 litre mega huge turbo conversion is complete...

Oooh time to go and borrow my old car back for a day
Dave, Not Diss'ing the GtiR but if the previous 11 second run was before the staging lights were fitted then it wasn't real ! A 6 foot run up to the start line can take more than half a second off your ET A 10 foot run up will chop off almost a full second !
My old car ran a best of 9.3 (before lights fitted) at Crail. Later in the year, at York, the best I could get (with proper staging lights) was a 9.4 and that was on a far better surface and running 120 bhp more nitrous ! The front of the car actually lifted about 6" in 1st gear off the line, if I could have got this sort of traction at Crail, (and taking a run at the start ) it would have been in the 8's
Those Escort cossies supposedly had 500bhp and were still in the low 12's. How much do you think the GTiR going to produce ??

i know about this dave :d
i have been already told to keep this date in mind, but i think they just want to see how many poeple can thrash an evo 7 on a strip .
is not that date some time in july/august though?
not sure if my clutch will hold another one though . i think will be going to croft on the 6 of april if the car is ready though.

the gtir ran low 11's at santa Pod, it did a couple of runs at Crail last year but minced a main bearing..game over.It had been previously dynoed at 397 bhp running 2bar.With the new stroker kit, turbo etc. etc. it should be around the 500 mark.Hes also looking into some seriuos weight reduction, carbon panels etc.
I can also compare times with York & the old Crail system, I did a couple of club shootout events down there in my Pulsar. My best at York was a 12.4, second quickest to a 500bhp cossie 4x4 capri with NOS...the one on the Clarkson video.

That sounds a well wicked shopping trolley he's got there
I would have loved a run at Santa pod with my V8 toy, that surface is just like 1/2" thick pure rubber ! Traction galore
Not much point going down with the Subaru, it will run in the 12's in the rain
