Next question: Would you mind taking me for a wee blast down the bypass and perhaps some twisties so I can get a feel for what's available - I would of course cover your petrol costs, etc!

Why just a UK ? Is an import too fast for you

 

No, I'd love an import but I do 25,000 miles a year and will struggle to run a UK much less an import which gets less mpg (I assume) and needs serviced more often, etc.

Alas, I doubt any car could ever be too fast for me, that sucks!!!

 

Import MPG and servicing is the same AFAIK, maybe even better MPG round town due to being lighter. In fact the UK's are known for running rich, especially if you tune them. (which you need to )

Impreza and economy are not normally found in the same sentence
