Default dying battery

firstly have you had a check done on the battery itself? does all the wiring on the car look good-no badly fitted gear added>?
have you checked alternator is charging properly...[might not be applicable if its only when left]
secondly check for current across the fuses with ignition off...things like relays can stick[heated mirrors etc]

hope this is a wee bit of help

As Arthur said, get the battery checked first. Any Autoshop should be able to confirm whether the battery is u/s or not.

cheers for the info. definitely not the battery as i fitted a new one two weeks prior to it draining. to check the voltage across the fuses when ignition is off.. not really clued up on how to do this. could i do this with a standard set of test lamps? if i haven;t done this before would u advise me putting it into a garage or is it pretty straight forward?

If you have a tracker, this will happen. I plug mine into a battery maintainer to keep it charged.

Agreed, my bug takes about 6 days to get the alarm shouting because the battery is low.
