Can anyone help with this one? There is a silver version 4 Type R for sale on gumtree in Midlothian for £3795. I spoke to guy who's selling it very briefly last Friday night and from what I could make out it seems to have a murky history. There is not a lot of paperwork or service history, 77,000 miles on the clock and recently had 1 brake calliper changed. It has 11 months MOT on it with no advisories and apparently only done 14,000 miles in the last 5 years. I have obviously never owned a Subaru before so don't know what to really check for other than the obvious.
Does anyone know this car or can offer any advice about purchasing one of these.
I noticed that he has re-advertised it last night so doesn't look like he is getting much interest.

 

I wouldnt touch it mate sounds dodgy , better going down south for one , whatever your budget is get something with a full service history mate least you know it will be okay (hopefully) i bought 1 a week ago man best decision i ever made

 

keep saving your money and look out for someones pride and joy to come up for sale on here,you will pay a little more but it will be worth it in the long run
