I have a Cobra alarm and after a brief spell (about a month) with the car off the road and having a flat battery, the key fobs stopped working. The battery is ok as the little red light comes on when I press the button, and the override facility works ok too. It seems that somehow the fob and the alarm have become out of sync - any ideas how to sort this?

Ta.

Question

I know with my clifford that there is a way to reprogramme the remote and there must be a way to do your alarm too otherwise you wouldnt be able to have a keyfob
Check out your manual, there must be something in there about it?

Ah, therein lies the problem - I've lost it.

So anyone with a manual or done this before, some direction would be gratefully apreciated.

Well I had a quick shify at the website but couldn't spot any obvious links. I'll have another look however and failing that looks like I'm gonna have to take it to some ripoff merchant.

I had a similar prob with the Scorpion. You had to reset the key febs by hoding the arm button down next to the car for 10 seconds until the light on the key fob stops flashing then press the button twice (2 second presses not just a quick press) and voila! The car bleeped and reset the key fob. You have to do this with all your fobs.

Worth a try!

Hey fantastic, prompted me into trying a number of button combos (I have 2 buttons) and holding down for 10 secs or so and voila, it worked.

So, for other Cobra owners, hold down both buttons on the key fob for about 10 seconds until the light stops flashing. Thats it.

Much appreciated.
