Caught some buzzards sniffing around my MY02 at 3:30am this morning - scared them off so they didnt do any damage. Clearly a Thatcham Cat1 / tracker system does not deter these fools who think that they can steal my pride and joy so what is the best visual disklock deterrant to buy? I think I saw a 'What car' review claiming that Halfords own version was the best/cheapest - anyone any thoughts?

Cheers

Halfords one in a recent test lasted about 20 seconds, the disklok was still there 15 mins later not bad for 40ish quid from costco is it

Take it from me the original "Disclock" is the absolute business. The small size will fit.Get one and the Buzzards will tackle something else.

For the sake of a few quid, if you don't have a local Costco, then just buy a Disklok from Halfords or via http://www.disklokuk.co.uk/home.htm!

Eighty quid, including 24 hour delivery and a free storage case (via the web).

Peace of mind

£48 inc the dreaded VAT at Costco - had a look today !
Ok so they only stock the yellow ones and don't get a bag but save £32 - 3/4 tank or so of fuel !!

Blimey, I was about to put up a post asking how much cheaper Costco is compared with Halfords! :-) Costco nearest me is 100 miles round trip so if Halfords have a silver one it may not be much more.

:-)

Which Cat 1 do you have as you may be able to have a prox sensor fitted (warn-away) so if anyone gets too close it will sound!!!!
This scares most of the Birmingham scum !!!!

Steve Fort- I wondered that too following the latest appraisal in Auto Express in which they mentioned a tiny alteration was built in the latest examples (thankfully no details). Did that mean that the Scum (no offence to Man U fans ) were getting quicker or that Disklok were just being proactive and varied the device to make things more difficult?
