Unhappy

Ive just recently been having difficulty starting the car its pi..ing me off. I disarm, put key in ignition turn it ign on, warning lights on dash light up the turn key once more & it starts, but now i follow the same procedure as above on nothing, re-peated tries at turning the key & then its starts either by luck or something? Oh yeah i always hear a click sound once the warning lights come on. The only other thing is that my radio (ignition on) positive wire shows no voltage when ign on.Has this any connection to the alarm, A friend told me to put the alarm in valet mode then try? isnt that the same as using the remote to disarm etc, cant see the difference but i dont really understand the full use of valet mode. Need help desparatly the amount of times it got me stuck when refuelling, going to work etc. Does the clifford immobilize the starter & ign circiut?

hey up ticky luddite dave here, try arm the alarm system whilst sat inside the car then turn the ignition on, this will cause the alarm to sound but you should get no dash lights if the clifford is cutting the main ignition feed and then turn the ignition to crank ,you should not get the vehicle turning over.disarm the alarm then turn the ignition on you should now get full ignition lights on the dash and turning the ignition to crank the car should turn over and the should start .this shows ignition and starter cuts are opening and closing as they should, likewise you can try it when it passive immobilizes as well.other things that can cause non starts like this is worn contacts in the ignition switch, sticking starter solonoid, loose connection on the clifford immobilizer loom plug or low battery voltage on the car battery .check the vehicle fuses regarding your stereo feed.hope this helps.

Ive tried it but still no joy . I armed the alarm system whilst sat inside the car then turn the ignition on, this caused the alarm to sound & the vehicle did not turn over. Disarm the alarm then turned the ignition on now got full ignition lights on the dash & turning the ignition to crank the car did not turn over.
I done a quick voltage/bulb test to see if the starter motor was getting any current once the system had been disarmed & ign turned on (ign lights on) & theres a current getting to the starter motor. Does that mean all the circuits are working fine on the cliff (opening & closing)are there any more ign cuts on cliff. Does that indicate the starter soleniod is at fault. If i was to remove the starter from g/box & place a direct 12v supply to it, should it turn. Just trying to establish if its def the starter. Checked all fuses they are all ok, mind you if any were blown then the car would never start were as sometimes it starts. Checked all plug-ins to alarm, seemed all in order. Need more help

Had another try today, this time tested the solenoid power lead (black wire). Had an assistance turning ign over (disarmed) while i connected bulb/light test to the wire thats powers the soleniod found no current. Then tried again this time disarmed, key in ign, warning light on & supplied power to the soleniod direct from car battery. Car turned over but didnt fire up, as its been standing now for over a week the battery was weak. Will try again tommorrow with booster or charged battery. So it looks like the starter & solenoid ok, could be my alarm not opening circiuts.
Can the main black box (clifford 500) be sold separately as mine has no warranty.
