Question

Started my Scoob up tonight, Drove 1/2 mile down the road and was nearing my destination when the alarm sounded ???

I tried switching the Remote start/stop to keep the car running whilst I popped in to see a mate , but no hazard light indicators showed ?? So I left the car switched off.

Came out and pressed the fob to remote start , no hazard lights showed , BUT it started. So I got in, put the key in the ignition and switched to the start position as you would normally, went to drive off , and the alarm sounded again !!!!

Anyone know the cure, new alarm that isn't Clifford ???

thanks in advance

Nate.

ps , the remote start is a Clifford item.

It's a complex question you've asked mate, and the only advice that'll be any use is "take it to a Clifford dealer who knows his onions".

"take it to a Clifford dealer who knows his onions"
Anyone know of any in the Essex area ?? I could pick someone out of the Yellow pages ..... But I may get a rip-off merchant !!

Though it seems to be behaving itself at the moment , probably an intermittent fault (how I hate those !!)

I have Subaru Impreza WRX with a Clifford 500 Alarm with Blackjax enabled

Went to come home tonight and the Blackjax came on because I was unable to key the code, It opened with the key fob, I got in drove to the gate and key coded the Blackjax and it would not except the code.

It went in to Blackjax alarm, I tried disconnecting the battery, taking out fuses to stop the flashing rear lights.

Ended up removing the bulbs and disconnecting the spoiler high level light so that I could leave it and preserve my battery condition

Nothing I do will get it out of blackjax not even valet mode keying, it just seem the fobs are doing nothing and also the same can be said of the plain view switch.

Looks like I have got to get it towed to a authorised dealer at my expense and get it looked at, its only 4months old fitted new on the car.

The car is near a mast and rail line but it never has caused a problem till now, I also noticed other very distant alarms going off, is it an atmospherics thing?

Any advise would be most helpful, please what should I do now

Check your remote to make sure the arm /disarm button is not sticking down thus panicking the alarm whilst you are driving
