Default Clifford Concept 650 remote start??

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice regarding the intellistart on my clifford alarm. It definetly has it but I just cant work out how to get it started.

I can do every step up until the actual starting of the car . I'm aware that they are all maybe programmed slightly different by the person that fits the sytem, but I was wondering if there are any default sequences that is a kind of standard set up. On mine you press the boot release picture button(which activates the turbo timer), then the single star to take the keys out, then I get out and lock it, and once it has gone off if I press the boot release the ignition comes on and all the lights on the dash...but I cant for the life of me figure out the last step in starting it????

Any help would be appreciated, cheers

Alan

before you turn off the ignition press [g5][g5][**]

remove the keys and the car should continue to run.
exit vehicle and arm the alarm.
the car should shut down

To remote start press the[*] button once, it will flash the indicators twice then start.

Cheers for the reply.

I havnt got a [g5] button though. The buttons I have are - Top left:[*] Top right:[padlock for alarming/locking] Lower left:[**] Lower right[Boot open, which works turbo timer] and Bottom centre:[clifford button]

Any ideas???

before you try setting the remote start take it out of gear, and make sure you haven't got your feet on any of the pedals as the sensers will not turn off and you'll never set the remote start

If its running when you exit the car you've set it right, then just arm the alarm and it will stop. The * will then restart it and stop it again if you press again when running. Disarming at any time its not running cancels the remote start and you have to start again from engine running.
PS if you press turbo timer before arming when out of the car it will lock when armed and run until timer finishes, and remote start will still work.

Thanks for trying to help, but thats exactly the way I thought it should work so its the first combination I tried. When I press * to try to start it again the indicators flash once but nothing happens. Pressing the Button that has the picture of the boot release on it results in the ignition lights coming on so I thought that might have something to do with it...I'm still totally lost.

Jesus, the ** button on mine is the button to arm/disarm the alarm silently.

If they flash once its not set right and won't start, should flash twice. Make sure you select neutral and get your feet away from brake and clutch pedals, mainly the brake, then on mine its G5 once then ** once, side lights should come on and when you remove keys car should still be running, get out and set alarm with lock button, car will stop. If you press anything other than * after this it won't work. One press of * will flash indicators twice and start engine shortly after, if you press * again car will stop and remain in ready condition for remote start again. If you open doors or anything else you have to set again with keys in ignition and engine running. Good luck

You really need to ask the programmer about what key sequence has been set to enable remote start. See on mine I press ** to enable remote start & * to remote start. Have you got the software ? It might tell you what has been programmed.

I am in Lanarkshire, Scotland so bit of a problem. lol Its only 5 buttons so you'd think it would be easy! I can work everything else so I'm not that worried as dont really NEED the remote start, just would be nice to know.

My installer tells me the software is free so all you need is the cable (if you know a friend with one or a fellow snetter it would be handy). I have not hooked my cable up yet but will try it in the next couple of days to see if it shows how the fob is programmed (will be good for me as well as not done it before).

I have a cliffnet wizard cd. Apparently its the installers version, its a copy of the original but you can change pretty much everythin with alot of alarms, yours included.

Your more than welcome to it, or ill copy it, whatever. Any good to ya?

The cliffnet wizard you can get from Clifford is not the same as the installer version (that you can get from your favourite piracy site). Cliffnet wizard only lets you change the things that you can already do via the keyfob, oh and it also lets you change the alarm sound. I wonder if you can change it to the default Nokia ringtone?

The cliffnet installer version lets you configure a whole lot more, but again all that stuff can be configured using just the keyfob, you just need to get the installer version of the manual (which I handily linked earlier on) to find out the magic voodoo button sequences to do it.
