Default Hawkeye wont start

So i got in the car this morning to start it and when i went to crank it over all the dash lights dimmed and it sounded like i had a flat battery

thought it was abit odd, took key out, tried again
this time all the lights came on normally, but when i try to start it theres a single chirp and its as if the immob has cut in. the car wont start

ive tried it several times w/o success

any idea!?

would explain the wierd dash lights at the start
and when i was poking about with the keypad all sorts of lights and indicators were flashing randomly and different light levels :d

changing the battery cause any issues with the alarm or anything else?
