Thoughts on this type-r
What do you think of this? I can get it for 10k. Always fancied a classic. Its silver, looks very clean. Not sure about the front bumper though.
This is the spec:

Imported 2001

front bumper is easy swap, looks wrong colour too. I'd be questioning why it is not standard and having a good look in behind it.
these tend to rot at the bottom of the rear arches by the side skirts and up inside by the rear turrets, its impossible to see the rear turret rot unless you remove the side covers from inside the boot and use a camera to take a pic
personally i'd take the front brakes off as the pads dont sit well in the calipers and dont wear evenly, and replace them with a set of brembo's
5 or 6 speed box? DCCD is awesome, if you havent driven a car with it then take it a bit steady on the roads, the 5 speed DCCD is less forgiving than the 6 speed but still a great setup
2 doors are where the money is at, and always will be, could be a good investment

defiantly have a good poke round, around rear arches, inside boot near the turrets, i looked at an impreza a few months back that looked very clean, but found holes on rear turrets, and inside rear arches!!!!
