Default OEM 6 spd STI gear **** fitment

Do all 6 speed STI gear ***** have the same thread pattern so that they are directly interchangeable?

I have the full black gear **** from the early models:

Would like to change it to the 2005 one:

or perhaps even the MY16 one:

Thanks

Im pretty sure they are all the same

I know for a fact you can go from black topped to silver with red stitch for sure as i did it myself.

Id imagine the red topped on is the same as seen sold online together usually

I see. Is there any difference in diameter / width between all the different 6 spd *****?
I have the early, plain black one and I hate its feel. The leather top or whatever it is, is so slippy, it doesn't grip really well in the palm. And the overall diameter/width of the **** is a bit small for my liking.

On a side note:
Is it normal that the lift thingy for reverse has a tiny little bit of play on the shaft? It has on mine and its kinda annoying when shifting quickly as it makes a clicking sound due to it being a little loose.
This is my first 6 speed (only had gc8's before) so I'm wondering whether thats a common thing or not.

Not the best photo but I went for the Duracon 6 speed and it feels so much nicer when changing gear and is easy to clean
Not had time to get to my collection sorry

The daddy **** even better than the titanium item
Signed by toshi arai
Cost??? find me one

Ultimately rare sti titanium gear **** real good feel abit like strangling your mrs :-)

Had 2 sold spare one at £280

Best for feel and and both worlds of leather with weight and the top is very nice

Top is engraved not a sticker

This one is same as the one in the second pics but with black top on very nice feel but I'd say not as weighty

Red top one is in the shed were it belongs and doesn't deserve a pic

it weighs twice as much as the 05-07 ***** - so gives a more solid feeling to gear change/throw. i prefer the lighter item.

Thanks for the detailed insight in all the available options.
That STI titanium **** is sick didnt even know about that one.

I ended up getting a 2011 gear **** from the GR model.
It's the one that looks like the Hawkeye 2005-2007 gear **** but is weighed as people have pointed out.
I have to say I am very pleased with the choice. I prefer heavier gear ***** so this is perfect. The overall feel is also so much better compared to the early black 6mt ****. Very happy

I think I will buy a S206 gear ****, the nicest one IMO. I don't know if they can be found cheaper than what Japanparts.com sell them for?
