Alternative fuel rail design
Just sat on train musing.. would the above be an improvement on the Impreza fuel rails?
To my mind you'd get exactly the same pressure at the injectors, if the legs of the bottom t were kept the same length.
Also there would be less connectors (eg fpr and t piece could be directly plumbed together) and in fact the bottom t could come off that "lump" too.
No fuel hoses above turbo either.
Why would it not work?

I had a natter with a friend of mine yesterday regarding this, and he pointed out that they wouldn't necessarily bleed properly either.
I.e if the pickup ran dry on a corner, then all the air that got introduced would have to come through the injector, whereas on a conventional system most of it would end back up in the tank.
Could potentially be mitigated with a swirl pot, but that feels like a sticking plaster.
It's a shame, would have been nice to get rid of a bunch of pipes/connectors.
