G-Force Rolling Road Day - April 5th
#1
A rolling road day is booked for the 5th of April at G-Force Motorsport in Aylesbury. This event will be covered by Banzai magazine and will appear in the june/july (out in May) issue.
This event is open to everyone with a scooby, but there will be a limit of 25 cars run + 5 reserves. We are expecting a couple of 400bhp+ cars and Banzai will be looking for scoobies to profile in future articles.
Cost per car is £50 (inc VAT). Each car will get at least 2 runs on the rollers - though most will be 3 or 4, as we need 2 runs within 1bhp to verify accurate power figures. For full dyno details go to
http://www.g-force-motorsport.co.uk/dyno/dyno.htm
The 4 wheel dyno is rated at 1800bhp atw, and 2wd rated at 1200bhp atw. This dyno is state-of-the-art, and is used in all major bhp shootouts around the world. The latest big bhp event was in Australia in January - max bhp run on the dyno to date is 1376bhp - at-the-wheels!!! Full details here - http://www.summernats.com.au/results_hpheroes.html
All cars will receive printouts of wheel bhp and tractive effort forces, flywheel bhp and torque figures, air/fuel ratio and boost pressures. All runs are done in shootout mode - to prevent fudging numbers - either higher or lower - and complete run condition details are printed on each dyno sheet.
Call me at G-Force on 01296-434-084 to add your name to the run list, and a complete updated run list will be posted here.
We want to find the most powerfull scooby in the country - but everyone is welcome.

Motorsport Engineer

Hi Chris,
Put me down for a go, I wont be able to phone you until the middle of the week to confirm as I'm going to be away.
£50 might put a few people off as the likes of Power Engineering only charge £35 inc vat, but if your rolling road set up is as good as you say it should be worth the extra £15. It will also be good to see a comparision as I have only just been on Power Engineering rollers, 319 bhp, 320 lbs/ft and 253 @ the wheels.
Colin, purple WRX.

I'm very interested.
But I may be out of the country that week. Australia funnily enough. It's not confirmed yet, but if I'm here put me down.
I've been before to these rollers and it's an awesome setup. Brand spanking new rollers.
I'll ask around my pals too, see if a northern posse can be raised.
Cheers
Rich

Chaps, the MLR have adopted this dyno as the defacto dyno of choice in the UK. The set up is superb, very spectator friendly and you come away with a LOT more info on your car than every other dyno I've been too.
Cant believe you guys havent bought into this day more. Surely you arent all tight arsed 'budget tuners' who begrudge the extra £15 over a second rate dyno in Uxbridge! (I have been there too and wouldnt even begin to compare the 2 facilities - sorry).
G-Force will be wheeling out their new Scoob STi7 demo car on this day - surely thats worth going over to see???
+ You get the added benefit of looking over the workshops with GT1/GT2/GT3 racing Porsches, Ferrari 360 Modena's, GT40's etc
If you Scoob boys cant fill this day up, us Evo boys will have to come over and hijack your day! - show you some REAL motors!
The 200+ Club are up there this Sat 15th March - get up there to check out the facilities and some SERIOUS machines in action.
Get involved guys........who's coming ?
I'll be there with the Evo - just in case anyone is looking to upgrade to a proper car (joke)

Hi Tim, I'll be there - you guys need to get more organised on this one...looks like everyones going to PE the week after
If you dont get your numbers, the day is off!
You know how good a facility it is, get your troops organised here mate.
Banzai are covering this also - each car will get mag coverage.
+ G-Force are doing good things with a certain STi7 demo car they are building up....gotta be worth a nosey
Catch you soon

The updated run list so far is:
1. Rich Wild
2. Colin C
3. Phil Savin
4. Tim Bomford
5. Tony Montana
6. Nitosport WRX
7. G-Force STi
8. MOSI TT - EVO 7 (just to stir things up)
For those of you who are unsure, come along this Saturday - from 9:30am - and see the guys from the 200+ club. We're running 20-25 Supras/Skylines/Scoobies/Porsches. I'm not sure if the 1000bhp/1200bhp HKS drag skyline is coming this weekend. If not I will probably speak to Andy and get him to bring it along for you scooby guys to see it run on the 5th.
I'll post more details as the date draws closer.

We'll have a Skyline and a couple of EVO's aswell. We needed a minimum of 12 - so this r'road day is definately going ahead. Remember there will be magazine coverage, so even if you don't run it may be worth coming - as Banzai are looking for good-looking subaru feature cars. I'll post more details as the date draws closer.

I'll come along on the day, though not much point in running as no new mods recently, and at a previous 330 bhp will be seriously underpowered in this company. But as it is only 8 miles down the road it would be rude not to go.

Phil,
A year ago 330bhp was quite impressive (and I still think it is when I drive it) but there are so many cars over 350, 400 and even 500 bhp now that 330 is a bit tame nowadays (comparatively).
Your welcome to come for a spin in it if you are around on the day to see what you think. It is a Silver MY94 WRX with three scoops on the bonnet and MY01 17" alloys.
