Splendid - but make it about 10:45 if you can - Sunday is nodding dog driver day and I doubt if we'll make as good progress as we did on the way back from karting LOL

We'd love to come to this but it's Chris' birthday the night before and we're having a bit of a do we will probably be very, very drunk and therefore in no fit state to do anything Sunday

Shame 'cos we'd like to go, we thought the last one was excellent

In typical fashion, I now cannot make this either.

Still, all the arrangements have been made, so have a great time all who are going.

Just got back from the Anchor after a nice lunch with the family, but what a really poor turnout! A real shame after the previous one in June. They laid on a BBQ which was abandonded at about 1:30 at which time there was only 4 Scoobs (inc. mine!) in the car park! Lets hope the next one will be better?

I stuck my head in the door about 2pm but there were only 6 in the car park and you were all in the restraunt bit so I went for drive instead before returning to more important stuff like trying to make enough credits in GT3 to buy a yellow STi 6.

Oh, and true to form, the minute I stepped out the door it started raining.

It was a shame & I hope that the Landlord hasn't got the ar$e 'cos its a great venue.

Anyway, had a nice meal, bit of chat & good drive there & back

Saw, & hopefully wasn't seen by, unmarked speed van by side of road on the way home & the aftermath of a dodgy looking accident coming out of Danbury ( ) hope everyone was OK.

D & C T-S

I will get the meeting time right in future ( x100 in my little book).

Yes

Yes

IMHO, and judging by yesterday's turnout (but remembering it is the first week of the school holidays)

I spend the first weekend after the 18th of each month (payday) in Newcastle, hence I've missed the last two. Any other weekend and I can make it, would bring fellow SIDC member!

Aug 26th sounds good?

Agree.

Once a month is too often. People don't cancel plans for a monthly event (like i didn't).
Once a quarter is a good idea, though a sunday afternoon beer in August does sound a good idea, especially when anything organised between October and March is likely to get just as poor a turnout as last sunday...

How strange, essex must be the most unsociable region there is?! LOL
I couldn't make this one as was visiting me dear old mum, but consider the old Fleet meets, now Dr Evils Surrey meet. They happen every month and get a great turnout each time. In fact all 3 meets south of the river are really well supported.
Is it just because it always rains in Essex?
I'll try n make the Essex meet whatever you guys decide, at least the Halfway house meet gets 10 or more cars once a month!
