Bitten Hero is eager to get some inspiration this coming weekend ready for the first GP of the season. So I suggest we have our (irregular) meet at The Plough, Fen Ditton this coming Sunday the 3rd March so that we can all give him tips on what Jordan need to do to win. Register your interest now.

I think we were just planning on it being a meet - we're intending to do another Ring of Cambridge when the weather's a bit better - perhaps April time... particularly as it's supposed to be cold and wintry this coming weekend!

I may need cheering up on Sunday so come along I'll buy anyone cheerful a beer

Btw Grahame you haven't put a time... shall we say 12 noon, with food at 12:30pm?

Cheers
Richard

ps Yes I will be there

Grahame,

I should indeed be there. I might bring along one of my mate's who's picking up his new (to him) Sport on Friday.

Regards,

Ben.

Edited to ask whether there's a TV in the pub we can watch the re-run of the GP on?

I'm pretty sure there isn't a tv in the pub - but Richard will no doubt have watched the GP live in the early hours and can tell us all about it!

As Richard suggests, meet at noon, eat at 12.30.

Sal, I'm shocked! After our nice karting last week as well, you traitor Bet you a drink Fisi comes in ahead of him

I've got a mini 4" LCD TV which I can bring if people want to watch it in the pub?

And yes, of course I'll have watched it live at 3am

Excellent...

I've taken the liberty of inviting a few MG Z-car owners along too (not sure if they'll turn up or not) - hope no-one minds?

Directions... From the A14 Eastbound come off at the Fen Ditton turn-off (B1047 I think) towards Cambridge. After a couple of miles, in the centre of Fen Ditton, turn right (the Blue Lion pub will be on your left as you do so). Follow the road down for about 100 yards, then bear right at the War Memorial. Follow the twisty tiny road round for another 200 yds or so. There will be a sharp left, and then a bit further up the pub is on the left while the road continues round a bend to the right. Great venue...
From the A14 Westbound, come off at the A1303 exit bearing left towards Cambridge. Keep going straight over traffic lights etc until you see a traffic light junction with a right hand turn signposted Fen Ditton (I think it has it's own filter lane). Go right up there, and about 1 mile up there turn left at the Blue Lion pub and follow directions as above.

Map is here: http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.c...&client=europe

Just in case anyone hasn't been before!

Cheers
Richard

Richard,

Of course MG-Z's are welcome - I seem to remember that one of them has a copy of the Prodrive rear wing stuck on the back...

Hoorah! I have permission! I'll be there with the future Mrs Champion (yeah Richard it was a bit quick) and a very battle scarred Porsche (complete with plasters)

The Porker's still going? Does it still start on 2 or 3 cylinders?

Looks like we have one, maybe 2 Z-car owners coming along, which will be a nice bit of variety.

See you all on Sunday!

Cheers

Being a F1 bod you should know that it drops cylinders as a form of traction control. Honestly some people!!

Unhappy

Doesn't look like we can come now as Chris has already promised to deliver our old tv to his sister in Surrey and stay there for lunch so that he can spend a bit of time with his niece however I have been generously granted a day pass to come to this meet if I want to (albeit it in the MX5 )

Now what should I do? Family or friends? Cars or Kids ? hmmmm, tricky one...

Answers below please....

Sal

Well, I know how much you love kids, Sal, so it's a tough one... But then again I think you should come to show off your new baby Besides, I won't be able to buy you that pint if you're not there Not that I'll need to anyway

Sal - I'd opt for the meet, and bring your new toy - you might start getting broody if you go with Chris

I've emailed him and Puff - PTMW has relatives over so he can't make it (a poor excuse ) but no reply from Stan yet.

Ok I'm definately coming but will be very tired due to watching the GP live as I can't wait to send Richard a text reminding him that he owes me a drink

I'm currently trying to persuade Chris to bin the trip to his sisters in favour of this meet using the lure of Carolyn and her STI and it seems to be working Not sure whether it's Carolyn or the STI that's persuading him

Cool, look forward to seeing you there!

The thing is, will Carolyn actually bring her STi or will it already be in the hands of Bob Rawle being Link'd?

Don't worry Sal, I'll text message you if Fisi or Sato beats your Number Juan driver

Hi guys,

I may make it - I'm in London till late the night before, so may be a bit laggy.

Should be packing everything to move to the US, but I probably wont be able to be arsed.
