Since we're playing no hopers of an opposition he should experiment with a couple of players like Downing etc... We need to see some more of Englands talent being given a run out instead of the usual rubbish

no chance, how can the manager play anything but the big name's in a televised qualifier?
the sponsor's would not allow that! becks etc would not be happy earning extra coinage. (they need it so badly)

0-0 at half time who were you refering to as no hopers???.Plus I can safely say that no England fans will cause any trouble after the match thanks to the best riot force in the world the PSNI.

Well played NI you put effort in and showed how much you wanted the points. England have been disgraceful and thats being far too kind. This has to be one of the worst perfomances of an England team I have seen and I think the manager has a hell of a lot to answer for.
I think Ian Wright hit the nail on the head at half time when he pointed out what a difference it had made to Scotland by having a Scottish manager - time for England to dump the gone off Swede and replace with an English manager with passion and temper to instill some fear into the players and get them playing for their places

Erm, why am I the muppet? Im not the 1 who played ont he pitch, Im not the 1 who was supposed to motivate the team. To be fair Ive got to say well done to Northern Ireland, a superb display of guts, effort, heart and football. They never once gave England any chance to play a game.
To be honest I think in the first 30mins England played the best football they have in a good year.... To say they was under immense pressure Beckham distributed the ball about well etc but come half time it was obvious our tactics wasnt going to break down the Irish. The manager again showed how clueless he was with dissapointing substitutions.... Ireland with 10men behind the ball was an opportunity to apply pressure, a defender should have come off for a striker IMO if thats the game they was playing.
Again congrats to N.I on the face of it they wasnt any real opposition but they dug in deep and played to their strengths leaving us to rely on someone who isnt fit for the job.

p.s. Funny isnt it how the English can always say how well other home nations have done yet England never get praised for any performance ever by the Irish,Scottish or Welsh.... And we're supposed to be the worse bunch of fans eh
